Hey all, I tried to find this toppic somewhere, but I gave up. I, a 72 lock need to make a good healer for guild. I started a 16 human priest & went shaddow to level quicker, but nothing really cool or fun being this toon. Any suggestions? Thought maybe Shammy for totems, Druids seem to rock. I'm looking for any gr8 help deciding. Thnx in advance! Arbaritina.
I've been rocking my druid for a bit now, leveling as balance. There's several restokin builds that are a mix of balance and restoration such that you can do well on both sides to get some healing learning going. My priest used to be my healer back in vanilla days but I'm feeling the druid more these days, though I haven't healed anything with him at all.
I've been levelling an undead priest, she's at 30 right now. It gets a lot better once you start getting deeper into shadow. If you really don't like the playstyle, I'd say shammy or paladin is the way to go, since they're polar opposites to priest. I'd think more about your goals with the character once you hit 80 and the style of healing you like, though. If you're looking to raid, I'd say priest or druid. For PvP, definitely paladin at the moment (holy is so awesome right now). If you like to throw hots, it's definitely druid. If you like direct and aoe healing, priest or shaman. Best way to find out is just to try them all.
If you've never healed before, Resto Shammy is probably the way to go.
You spam one spell and heal obscene amounts of damage.
